Riverdance

Well, I guess I can’t avoid this topic much longer.  Riverdance…it’s an Irish dancing phenomenon, and has been around for around 15 years.

Now, why is this Irish dance so popular?  Honestly, I’ve only seen bits and pieces of performances, but what I have seen is some seriously fast moving feet.  Fast-paced rhythmic tap dancing that focuses majorly on the lower half of the body…it’s just amazing all performers are that in sync with one another.

Three different companies have traveled over 563,000 miles in the fifteen years that Riverdance has been a part of tap culture.
